It all started with Simba
You can’t get to helping 50 Cats without the 1st one.
To be honest, I did not think she would last 7 days.
Now, she’ll be 6.
So how did we get from near death to an awesome mom?
Patience.
It took weeks before she would not hiss and a few months before she would let herself live in a safe place.
Because she was frisky and would get pregnant before we could get her snipped she had three litters.
Cats teach us to go at their pace, not ours.
Her Kids
The first litter only one cat survived because she was young. We named that one Soapy because one day as a kitten she ate soap, made a funny face, and then stood staring at the wall like she gave herself a time out.
The second litter had four, one was adopted, and the three brothers are still with her and Soapy.
The brothers names — Mai, Bpen, and Rai — together mean ‘no worries’ in Thai.
The last litter all got adopted.
Everyone is snipped, safe, and sound.
